Collins Racing is a Canberra based speedway team and is a member of National Capital Motorsports Club. We race 2 LJ Torana's #45 & #46. Our home track is National Capital Speedway which is situated on Pialligo ave Fairbairn ACT.
We completed a successful 2004/05 season in the Rookie division and finished with the Most Improved Award, we are a self funded team with some minor sponsors who all help make it possible for us to keep being involved in the sport. We have raced at Goulburn and the Board titles which were held at Portland, NSW over the Easter long weekend. We have commenced the new 2005/2006 Season with a new car #45 and a second #46 is well on its way.
This season we will be Racing the two cars at National Capital Speedway in the ACT and we will also compete at Goulburn Speedway in the Series Production Division which has been added to their racing calander.
This site will give you some information about the team and the great sport of Speedway Racing, Results will be posted on a regular basis along with event dates and what tracks we are running at.
Have a look at the page set aside for National Capital Motorsports Club, this will give dates and event information for local Speedway here in the A.C.T. also follow the link to the all NEW National Capital Motorsports Club website.
This site will constantly be up dated so keep checking back on a regular basis. All the opinion's in this site are my own and are just that nothing more, nothing less.
Check out the content pages and if you feel so inclined leave a message in the guest book, I hope this site entertains, informs and is just plain interesting to you all.
Collins Racing is under going some changes in the way we promote ourselves. These changes are to be implemented in stages, the first one is the creation of a new website www.markcollinsracing.com this is still under construction but feel free to check it out and send me an email with your comments. The format will be kept similar to this but offer more info and a new section that should interest everyone (more about that later). This site will remain operational until the completion of the new one so I guess that you will have to keep an eye on both for a while.
